How to Use This Grade Calculator
This calculator averages your assignment grades so you always know exactly where you stand in any class. It works for both high school and college students, and handles scores entered as percentages or raw points.
Simple Average = Sum of all scores ÷ Number of assignments
Points Average = Total points earned ÷ Total points possible × 100
Example (percentage):
Quiz 1: 88%, Quiz 2: 92%, Quiz 3: 79%
Average = (88 + 92 + 79) ÷ 3 = 86.3% → B
- Choose your input mode. Use "Percentage Scores" if your teacher gives you grades like 88% or 42/50. Use "Points Earned" if you want to enter the raw numbers — like 42 points earned out of 50 possible.
- Add your assignments. Name each one (optional) and enter the score. Hit "+ Add Assignment" for as many as you need.
- Set a target (optional). Enter your target grade and how many assignments are left in the semester. The calculator will tell you what average you need on the remaining work to hit your goal.
- Calculate. Your average, letter grade, GPA equivalent, highest score, and lowest score all appear — along with a breakdown bar for each assignment.
